Play time begins at 7 p.m. on June 26 at Stereo Live, where Merry Gay Consultants will launch its new business opportunity—Home Passion Parties. Comedians Frank Liotti and Jess Wood, along with DJ Cybergroove will keep you up until the party is over at midnight. Tickets will get you in for the Live Entertainment with prize giveaways, free dance lessons, and a Live Broadway Review. A portion of the night’s proceeds benefit the Montrose Center.
It hardly seems enough to dedicate just one week to say “thank you” to the many volunteers who make a difference at nonprofits around the country. The Montrose Center volunteers are some of the most talented folks on the planet, and we’re extra-grateful for your generosity.
Reactions to a disaster vary from person to person. Some people immerse themselves in the media coverage. Some become reclusive, while others become uncharacteristically talkative. Some feel numb or paralyzed by fear. Some are relieved because it didn’t happen to them. Some donate blood or raise money for the victims. Some pray. Some are quick to cast blame. Some are angry. All of those responses are justified and normal, and many of us will probably go through several different stages in the days and weeks ahead.
