On October 12, we made history as 450 LGBTQ leaders and friends came together at the Ballroom at Bayou Place to celebrate National Coming Out Day and Hatch Youth’s 30th Anniversary, making this year’s Out for Good the largest dinner in Center history. The generous crowd raised more than $150,000 in annual funding for the Montrose Center.

The evening was full of touching moments. One of the first participants of Hatch Youth in 1987, Matt Joseph Borkowski flew in from Chicago to share how much Hatch has meant in his life. Sixteen-year-old community leader Lily shared how Hatch has grown and is now impacting the lives of almost 900 teenagers each year. Violinist Angelina DM Trailz had us swooning with her live performance. Representative Garnet Coleman became the first ally recipient of the LGBTQ Community Vision Award, and Jovon Tyler made a touching tribute to his mother Annise Parker, presenting her with the award.

It was a magical evening, and we want to thank the following individuals and corporations who were vital to its success.
