We are so glad you found us! Seniors Preparing for Rainbow Years (SPRY) is a vibrant and growing community of LGBT older adults age 60+, with life-enhancing services to meet a variety of needs unique to our population, including:
- community outreach
- men’s and women’s groups
- professional counseling
- case management
- social and recreational activities
- health and wellness education
- and the Montrose Diner drop-in center and congregate lunch program.
There is no charge for eligible persons age 60+ to participate; however, we do appreciate your letting us know that you’re coming. Rsvp by email or by calling 713-529-0037 x222.
Game Day! – 1st Fridays, 1-3 p.m.
Potluck Social – Bring a side, salad or dessert! 2nd Thursdays, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Movie Afternoon – LGBT-themed classics! 3rd Fridays, 1-3 p.m.
SPRY Essential Education – Guests presenting on various topics affecting LGBT older adults. 4th Wednesdays, 12:30-2 p.m. (Day and time may vary.)
Day Trips – Chartered bus trips to local attractions. Email for details.

SPRY participants have access to all of the programs and services available at the Center. The Montrose Diner, and all social and educational activities are provided free-of-charge. Professional counseling, groups and case management are offered at a discounted fee; however, the Center accepts most insurance including Medicare and Medicaid, and you may qualify for grant subsidies that may waive any out-of-pocket fees.
