Temporary Harvey Disaster Case Manager
Description: Needed to triage clients who are requesting financial assistance services and other due to effects of Hurricane Harvey. Requires face-to-face contacts and/or phone calls with clients, consultations about clients with family members or other service agencies. Verifies client eligibility for program services. Assesses the client’s current service level needs. Advocates on behalf of clients to decrease service gaps and remove barriers to services helping clients develop and utilize independent living skills and strategies. Supports Provision of Housing/HOPWA & Financial Assistance.
This role is temporary, full-time and reports to the Intervention Program Coordinator. Bachelor’s degree (Social Work, Educational Psychology or Counseling with a corresponding license preferred) or equivalent, relevant, professional experience required. Bilingual Spanish/English; ASL fluency pluses.
