Hate Crime Services Not Limited to GLBT

As part of Montrose Counseling Center’s Anti-Violence Program, services are available for anyone who is the victim of a hate or bias-related crime. MCC offers trauma counseling and assistance with reporting the crime, seeking emergency medical attention, and filing for Crime Victim Compensation.

Annual Prom Raises Funds to Support GLBTIQA Youth

While the HATCH youth are busy planning their 19th Annual Prom, “Over the Rainbow,” you have an opportunity to show your support of these amazing adolescents by becoming a sponsor. The prom is an important rite of passage for Houston-area gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersexed and questioning youth and their allies. The Prom also is the youth program’s largest fundraiser of the year.

Montrose Counseling Center has made it even easier for LMSWs, LCSWs, LBSWs, LPCs and LCDCs to sign up for Continuing Education Units through our new, secure online registration form. The next CEU training will be held on Friday, May 20, from 1 – 4 p.m. in the GLBT Cultural Center at 401 Branard. The class will cover bacterial, viral, and protozoan sexually transmitted infections (STI); including common symptoms, safer sex practices, treatment options and general facts, along with information about acute and chronic chemical and viral hepatitis; including risk, prevention, symptoms, treatment methods, and vaccination.
