Community Center Renters: Thank You & Heads Up for the Upcoming Holiday Season

We support our community bc you support us

To all of our Community Center renters, a heads up for this upcoming holiday season:

As Houston’s LGBTQ Community Center, the Montrose Center is happy to provide Houston’s movers and shakers with spaces where they can get things done. Be it socializing, planning, recovering, worshipping, or celebrating – we are proud to have become the headquarters for community-building and positive change in Houston, and it continues to be our pleasure to collaborate with thousands of people every year to harness the positive energy and power of a community as unique, diverse, resilient and vibrant as ours.

Simply put, we could never have become what we are today, without you.

To that effect, Houston has shown us that there is an overwhelming need for safe and affordable community space, with a demand that has grown exponentially in the past few years. For the first time we are approaching capacity evenings and weekends and encourage all groups to book as early as possible. Due to a need to preserve the meetings spaces at the Center for the LGBTQ community and those served by our mission, we have decided that we will increase our rates as of October 1. In keeping with our promise to make it our utmost priority to serve Houston’s LGBTQ community, we are introducing a two-tiered pricing schedule that will offer a discounted rate to those organizations that primarily serve the LGBTQ community and its members. See our new rates below, effective October 1.

Please note: All rental requests placed before October 1 will be booked at the currently standing rates, so get those requests in sooner than later to avoid the slightly increased rate! We so appreciate our renters and want to remind you that all revenue raised is turned directly into services provided to the LGBTQ and HIV+ communities of Houston, through mental health services, outreach, housing, youth & senior programs, and so much more! We are dedicated to keeping our spaces affordable and accessible to people of all walks of life!
