If we’re going to splurge, let’s do it on dessert. Keep it light in terms of side dishes. For the SPRY July Potluck on July 14, we’ll provide sandwich bread and cold cuts. From you, we’d love a green salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, and fresh fruit is always welcome. That way we can save room for dessert, which can be whatever you want to bring – more fruit, brownies, cookies, etc. We hope to see you in room 101 between 4 – 6 p.m. The following week, on July 21, the summer laughs continue for our movie afternoon. “Connie and Carla” is a campy comedy about two women who pose as Drag Queens in Los Angeles. We’ll start the film at 1 p.m. in room 101. SPRY Socials are open to anyone who is at least 60 years old and who identifies as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender. Socials are just one facet of the SPRY Program. We also offer peer groups, counseling and case management. For more information about SPRY, please call 713.529.0037.
