Understanding Eating Disorders

Free and open to the public! This presentation/discussion is offered to individuals whose lives have been affected by an eating disorder (one’s own or a loved one’s), as well as, anyone interested in learning more about eating disorders. We will look at the difference between eating disorders and disordered eating, factors that contribute to eating disorders, the way they affect our daily living and relationships to self and others and ways to get help. Facilitated by Staff Therapist Kara Ridenbaugh.

Fad Diets: What They Are & Why They Don’t Work

Wednesday, March 21, 6pm

This wellness class is free and open to the public. Don’t let turkey, fruitcake, and chocolate bunnies sabotage your diet! This monthly healthy eating presentation will help you learn to make good choices and avoid common nutrition mistakes. Instructor Jodi Wellner has had an interest in nutrition since a young age, graduating from Texas State University in 2003. She has worked in nutrition and weight management for 7 years and has been with Legacy Community Health since 2008.
