Montrose Strawberry Festival – Saturday, May 21

For a $10 donation, enjoy all you can eat of an assortment of all things strawberry, including shortcake, ice cream, chocolate fountain with fruit, and many other delights! Join us on Saturday, May 21, 6 – 9 p.m., at Baba Yega Restaurant, 2607 Grant Street. In addition to the strawberry treats, there will be a raffle of an Apple iPad 2, courtesy of Attorney Michael Grover. Tickets are $2 each or 20 for $20. The event is sponsored by Baba Yega Restaurant, Montrose Mining Company, Meteor, South Beach, JR’s Bar & Grill, Law Office of Michael Grover, and Charles Armstrong Investments. Net proceeds benefit MCC.

HATCH Prom Slider Throwdown – Sunday, June 5

Join the Gay and Lesbian Yellow Pages and Montrose Star as they support the HATCH Prom! Between 2 and 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, join them for food, entertainment, and a silent auction at EJ’s, 2517 Ralph St. Come for the delicious slider burgers, enjoy the show, and feel good knowing that all the money you spend will support the HATCH Prom later that week.

19th Annual HATCH Prom – Friday, June 10

Think the Prom is only for our communities youth? Not so! Adults may attend for a $25 donation. What a great opportunity to remake your prom experience while supporting HATCH. Come in costume, drag, in a gown/tuxedo – Come as you are! Everyone is welcome. This year’s prom, “Over the Rainbow,” will take place on Friday, June 10, 7 p.m. – midnight, in the GLBT Cultural Center, on the 1st Floor of MCC, 401 Branard.
