Montrose Counseling Center Honored as Grand Marshal of Pride Parade
On Saturday, June 26, Montrose Counseling Center and Executive Director Ann J. Robison, PhD, will open this year’s Pride Parade, as Organization and Honorary Grand Marshals. We are honored to have received these distinctions after a vote by the members of Houston’s GLBT communities. Thank you for your support!
“We are humbled by this honor and want to share it with the community as a whole. We wouldn’t be a stable and thriving hub of Houston’s GLBT communities without the generous support of countless individuals, businesses, and community groups,” said Robison, “We have partnered with the community to serve their mental health and support needs for more than 31 years, and we pledge to continue to do our best to respond to the community’s changing needs.”
Montrose Counseling Center provides a Rainbow of Services to the members of Houston’s GLBT communities, who will forever remain at the heart of our work. Walk with us as we open this year’s Pride Parade!
Please join us in celebrating this honor! We envision a large group of MCC staff, Board Members, volunteers, supporters, friends, and allies walking with our float, and we’d love you to take part! Participants are asked to wear a solid colored t-shirt in any color of the rainbow to match our theme, “MCC: A Rainbow of Services.” We have designed MCC Grand Marshal Pride Parade 2010 t-shirts, which come in each of the rainbow colors, which you also may wear.
