The Montrose Center’s volunteer-based model relies on contributions from the community to keep our Center running and to bring special opportunities to youth and seniors. Upcoming volunteer training dates and fundraising events are listed on our online calendar.

March: Spring Break Food Sponsor for Youth! More youth = more snacks!
April/May: Hatch Prom will need prom gear & special drag accoutrement!

[tabby title=”Host a Party”] Bring festive decorations, a cake and possible entertainment to our Seniors for a monthly celebration OR for the annual Holiday Party! We look for group volunteers to bring the party, and that can include activities that are above and beyond what our Senior Diner volunteers are able to provide at our weekly programs (e.g. reading, playing board games, puzzles, etc.). Your group is responsible for planning appropriate birthday/holiday activities for our Diner, bringing extra supplies, and leading activities with the elders at the party under supervision of Diner volunteers. This monthly opportunity is only available twelve times each year so schedule early. Parties take place during lunchtime hours at the Montrose Center. Please contact us for available dates and times. Recommended for groups of 5-15 volunteers ages 18+ (exceptions made on a case by case basis)
[tabby title=”Adopt a Kitchen or a Group Room”] Help us maintain clean and safe kitchens for our seniors and youth and group rooms for our classes and therapy groups by cleaning and organizing our spaces. This opportunity involves flexibility in scheduling a date and ability to choose a weekday or weekend to complete the cleaning. Recommended for groups of about 4-7 volunteers. Click here to fill out the online application.
[tabby title=”Equal Grounds Cafe Champions”] Looking for a more long-term and engaging opportunity? This opportunity involves a routine of supporting our Equal Grounds Café. Your group of two or three could serve one evening a month in the café as champions – you’d all get to work together, ensuring that first-time visitor to the Center feels welcomed and take care of. Recommended for groups of about 2-4 volunteers. Click here to fill out the online application.
[tabby title=”Specialized Group Projects”] Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to have a specialized group volunteer opportunity at the Montrose Center. The Center is able to accommodate groups up to 10, but these opportunities fill up quickly. Schedule your group today!
